จะเกิดอะไรขึ้น ถ้าหุ่นยนต์มีฮอร์โมน

Why are robots unable to perform effectively in outdoor real-world environment even the current robotic technologies have been shown (many times) to be clever than the humans? We only see the robots working in the controllable environments, such as the factory, warehouse, and inside the house. The intelligence of robots is basically based on complicated mathematics equations and functions, which we hope that they would help the robots to manage things well and complete their assigned tasks. On the other hand, we overlook the most important aspects that helps the animals, including humans, to survive in the world for very long time. In his talk, he introduces a new advent of robotic technologies concerning on the essence of living organisms, the possibility of using artificial emotion and hormone mechanisms for robots to adapt themselves in dynamic and full-of-interventions environment.

Pitiwut Teerakittikul is a lecturer at Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO), King’s Mongkut’s university of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). As his strong desire to develop robots’ behaviour and intelligence, he currently researches the new characteristics of robots working in outdoor real-world environment, not only functioning in the factory.

Currently, the cell sheet engineering is one of the most dynamic and large-scaled researches which will later have a major impact on both the patient’s treatment methods and the medical treatment costs. In recent years, cell sheet engineering has received much attention as a new approach to cure cartilage defects in the knees without the use of scaffold. Assoc. Prof. Kwanchanok, and a dynamic researcher team, introduce the technology which promises to help lessen pain, as well as, the costs by replacing the traditional medical treatment, the titanium scaffold insertion, with the new technology. The new method will require the cell sheet to be transplanted directly onto the damaged cartilage which will gradually grow and restore its damaged predecessor allowing the patient to resume their usual life.

We are small, but we matter

Would you call me an engineer or editor in chief of a magazine? Becoming interested in magazine writing, she as an engineering student, was asked to answer owing to the personal opinion relevant to the current social issues in Thailand. Since the unprecedented question brings up, she becomes interested more issues occurred in Thailand. She notices one of the significant issues that there is no serious action responsive to the voice of students; therefore, she becomes interested in being a part of educational system transformers. Another way to express her thought if the voice of hers, and others, are not heard is to create own space of thoughts and make a magazine, which is freely distributed to students.�Since the first magazine has been published, there are more interested students who want to share their thoughts through the magazine for the second and the third editions of magazine.

Early January 2015, he received the world best 20-award winning wedding photographs of 2014 by the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers. Due to his life path, the high achievement would not have occurred if there were not the enthusiastic actions through compositions of how to make a dream to be your “life you want to be and you love to do so.” In his talk, he showcases his previous photo-taking skills to take a notice on how much does he have to make a progress and improve his skills to become a well-known photographer. From the beginning of his life through narration, he defines the connection and consequences of following dreams self-motivation, and passion to create a culture in wider range of society.
